I created a color-coded calendar for medication administration and important upcoming appointments. I figured this would be an easier visual than the linear calendar I received from my least favorite coordinator. Usually something like this is provided to our patients at NCRM in addition to the linear calendar. I'm not complaining....just pointing out subtle differences. Ok...maybe I am complaining.
Purple meds are injections. Lupron is the subcutaneous shot that is done in the belly for a little over 3 weeks. PIO is Progesterone in Oil and needs to be injected into the muscle. Thankfully this one is every other day but doubles in volume after a positive pregnancy test (January 30th).
PNV = Prenatal Vitamins
BCP = Birth control pills
E-Patch = Estrogen patches with the # of patches to be placed/changed every other day
Medrol = a steroid (anti-inflammatory) to make my uterus more receptive to a foreign body inhabiting it (like a little embryo!)
Doxy = Doxycycline (antibiotic) also to make my uterus more inhabitable by clearing out any unnecessary microbes
Endometrin = a progesterone vaginal suppository (that's why it's pink!) designed to nutritively support the endometrial lining (like fluffing the pillows before a guest arrives). It's inserted morning and evening up until the pregnancy test - then three times a day. That will make for an interesting lunch hour trip to the bathroom....
Flights are booked. Hotel is reserved. 1 shot down. 1 step closer down the yellow brick road on my way to Embryo City.
