Once again, Candace was wrong. My period came today (not tomorrow as her email pretentiously predicted -- even after telling her on multiple occasions that my body has 28-day cycles with and without hormonal manipulation). It seems to escape her that not only am I a nurse...but I work in the field of reproductive endocrinology....AND...I freaking do her job for a living. I would LOVE it if I had a patient that was a contemporary. I wouldn't have to worry about patient compliance. I wouldn't have to give Sesame Street instructions and hope that everything was absorbed. And I know that questions/problems/concerns would be at an all-time low. It's a win-win-win. However, she doesn't see me as an asset to making her job easier. Her failure to capitalize on my expertise is making this a lot harder than it has to be - and subsequently pissing me off in the process.
With that said... I have a new Transfer Date and a new calendar (Reminder - I had to make this calendar myself based on her chicken scratch worksheet that she scanned and emailed yesterday). I worry about patients that are not familiar with the process and how they make it through with her "guidance."
Let's hope this is the end of blunders. Now it's time to focus on the plan ahead. One day at a time.
